Hi. I own a Nikon D7000 and can´t connect it, the software doesn´t recognize the camera. I wonder if I need a special USB cable or what I need? My PC is new and it is used only for the telescope and camera. The cards in the camera are empty and the battery is full charged. What i'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Eduardo

I can get none of the above 3 Nikon cameras to connect....is it something I am doing or are they not working at this stage?

Thanks

Al

Do you have a card with lots of images in your cameras?

I have personally tested the D810 and D7000.  Several users can connect the D800.

If you have several images your card it can take several minutes to connect.  This is because the Nikon SDK creates an index of all images before allowing the camera to connect and this takes time <_ there is nothing i can do if this the case. only remedy to remove card images on card.>

Keep us posted.  The D7000 is actual my test camera so it is the most tested camera with BYN.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply....don't know what I was doing wrong but after reconnecting and several attempts all three cameras began to connect.

When I connected the cameras to the PC I did get the screen top right that showed the PC did recognize the camera but when pushing connect on BYN I kept getting the screen with all the potential issues to connecting.  I had formatted all the cards so was sure that was not an issue. After several more attempts got the 800 to connect....after that the 800E and 7000 connected also after a couple attempts.

Anyway am up and running although not gracefully

Am looking forward to the release of final version and appreciate all your work.

Al
