ASTAP Plate Solving Inputs

Using BYE 3.2 and a Canon SL3 camera.

Puzzling a little bit over the inputs on the Advanced screen for ASTAP plate solving. What does the "pixels" input do? And, in cases where plate solving has failed, it only seems to perform one attempt. Is the number of attempts input operational? And does anything get varied from one attempt to the next?

Finally, does anyone have some recommendations based on their experiences for the duration and ISO inputs?

When the plate solving works, it's really cool.

All good questions.

Pixels is the number of pixels away from the defined RA/DEC.  If the plate solve if off by more that this amount it should run another iteration to get closer.  

ISO 1600 and 10'ish seconds is a good place to start.  This should give you enough stars for ASTAP to solve in most cases.
