Mine is Nikon so i downloaded following, i am afraid problem continues. i can see registry files on Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe), all user privileges fully given.

Please download again. I made a slight change earlier toady and in the off chance that you downloaded before the new change it might be worth it trying it again.

The key is valid, I actually see some activity on the server.

This looks like it is Windows Registry related - you may not have the privileges' to write to the registry.

Is this a personal computer r a work computer?

Hi,

i have exactly the same problem. i tried last year with my windows10 laptop but experienced the same bug. Now trying on a windows7 machine. Seems no way to validate; it keeps asking me license key. any solution?

Please start a new thread in the future.  This is not the same issue.

Is this a work computer or personal computer?  Looks like something is blocking access to writing into the registry.

Try running as admin.

Alternatively, and to confirm the registry theory... please download and install 3.1.16... I was not writing the key into the registry in this version.

If it works with 3.1.16... then the issue is Windows registry is being blocked somehow....anti-virus?  Windows policy?  Hard to tell.

In any case, once 3.1.16 validates, 3.1.18 should also validate after that because it will read the non-registry validation left behind by 3.1.16 and you should be fine.

Hi,

Please ignore my previous posts for now.  I just made a quick "possible" fix for this.  Basically I'm reverting to storing the license info in a file instead of the registry if the registry if not accessible.  I think this is a win-win solution for those rare cases.

Please download 3.2.0.RC6 from the pre-release section and give this a try.

Please let me know if this works for you... or not.

Thank you.

Still blocked on my Windows 10 system - tried reinstall, typing license key, cut/paste license key, nothing working. Hard to give software a 30 day trial if I can't even get it to run with the license key.  Getting a FPS encryption compliance error when I put in and enter the Key information.

Canon EOS has no problems when installed (and no key needed)

Please reply to the thread you started earlier, it does not serve anyone any purpose when you post a reply to another thread into a different thread. It is confusing and it makes following up on the conversation impossible.
