BackyardNikon stuck on busy

jsguitar

Question

I just purchased BackyardNikon 2.0.11. I have a Nikon D7500. Newer Dell computer, Windows 10 & 64 bit. When I start capture while having it saved to PC I hear a click of the camera and then I'm stuck in a "busy" loop.  Never downloads the picture. Have to shut program down to start over.  Abort doesn't work.  When I save it to the camera I hear the camera click and the whole process is quickly completed except when I go to look for the picture I took, it's not on the camera.  Can't be found.  I tried with camera hooked through a StarTech power hub and camera hooked directly to the PC.  Suggestions?

I figured it out.  I put the lens on manual focus and it works fine.  I can save to the PC and the camera and the captured photo's are there..  Good to know.

Please provide more detail about your camera settings and the type of image you are taking.  This is a camera setting I'm sure.

Is your camera dial set to B for BULB?

Are you taking a BULB image of the timed value image?

Are you using a lens?

Are you sure autofocus it turned off?

Save to camera only is not supported for most NIKON.  You need to save to PC only.  Please perform all future with save to PC only to make sure you use a supported path.

Keep us posted,
