Validation key from an older release

I had an old version of BYE Classic on a laptop which has since gone to laptop heaven. I have downloaded the trial version of BYE 3.1.18 but I cant seem to use the key that I was sent to upgrade it again to BYE Classic. Do I need to re-purchase the Classic licence?

Thanks. I know what the the Trial activation key is, where to put the Trial key and where to edit it to put in the CLASSIC product key but it won't accept the key that I have for an older version. I get the message "Could not find any recognisable digits". Has the format of the key changed between the older version (i.e. it's over two years since I have used the product) and the newer version?

The upgrade instructions are exactly for that. It describe how to upgrade your key from the old format to the new format.

You purchased BYE in 2014, therefor you have a 3.0.x key.  It's 5 lines.

The new 3.1.x format is one line and you need to follow the upgrade instruction to convert your 3.0.x (5 lines) to 3.1.x key (1 line + identifier). It's free. Once you do this you will have a new 3.1.x key online under "My Purchases -> Orders".
