Question

Is there any way of reconnecting a ZWO heater strip that broke apart? Incidentally this is a serious design flaw that the company should rectify. I am not at all happy about something as flimsy and so easy to breakage as these connecting strips!

I used scotch tape to hold it in place but I have no way of knowing if contact has been re-established. The company will have to rectify this issue or it will get very nasty very quickly.

I do have a picture. I have also written the company.

This was actually the right thing to do, glad you did. Only they can rectify the issue and can only do so if they are made aware of the issue.

What was their feedback?

No reply yet. I e-mailed them several hours ago. Didn't include a picture. It is an excellent concept but that unsupported area is under a lot of stress from the weight of the connector plugs.

Give them a few days at the very least, all of China is under tight constraint right now with most of the country working from home due to the corona-virus.

Hi Dan,

Sorry but the anti-dew heater is specifically designed for ZWO cameras.
When mounted on other cameras, improper use can easily break it.

Thank you.
