How about letting the user manually enter the humidity and the temperature?

Then at least I'd have SOME data for my records.

BYE 3.1.18 still completely hangs/freezes when I try to open a text file.

What do you mean hang? Where to you try to open the file?

Hi Guylain,

I've done many tests. I have text files. Some from a Davis weather station. Some simple test files I have made. Various folder locations, most recently stored on the desktop.

Is it sensitive to the folder or directory? Does the weather file have to be in a particular spot?

When I select the file, the Open dialog box appears to freeze. But after a minute or so it clears. But then the BYE dialog (and app screen in the background) has missing elements, has not updated, and just sits there. I've waited many minutes and the app does not respond. Later if I click around in the app, it says no responding. I have to open Task Manager and kill it.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with the text files that I'm trying to import 'cause I've tested with BYN (the evaluation copy you provided to me for testing) and they load fine.

This is some sort of weird problem with BYE that I've never been able to resolve. I was really hoping the problem would have gone away with the latest version. When I had installation problems with 3.1.18, I actually cleared all the Backyard software out and did a clean install.
