Canon 200D/SL2 Not Connecting

Dylanre90

Question

I have checked the support matrix for this camera and it seems that it is supported, however I am unable to control the camera. When I connect I see the message "Generic Model 153 Assumed", but can't do much with it as most of the options are grayed out. I have updated to the latest version (3.1.9 Premium Version) and still no luck. The camera is recognized by my PC when I plug it into any of the USB ports.

Any ideas?

This worked for me and I can now connect and control the camera from the PC!

However, I did a test run and something else is not working. When taking more than one image the system locks up after the first image and gives a busy status no matter what. I am unable to suspend, abort, or anything else and have to exit the program or turn off the camera. I have image review off and I'm disabling high ISO noise reduction in camera. Is there something I'm missing?
