unable to run BYE over wifi

Hi

Have a Canon 6D with firmware 1.1.6. Purchased it late last year.

It runs EOS utility over wifi and usb

runs BYE on usb.  I figure there must be a setting on BYE or Canon I'm not setting correctly.  On 6D Wi-Fi was enabled.  Wi-Fi function gives 6 options: i chose the Remote control (EOS) Option. Others are transfer images between Cameras,  Connection to smartphone, Print from Wi-Fi printer, Upload to web service, View images on DLNA devices.  None of the settings on allowed  BYE to connect.  So any procedures specifically to windows 10 and canon 6D would help.

The short answer is that if you are able to connect the camera to the computer via WiFi outside of BYE then it may work. Canon get's it to work with the EOS Utility by doing some undocumented steps that are not done in BYE.
