BTW, your title is misleading. You did not purchase the wrong version. You purchased the wrong product. Like purchasing a Ford Escape when you meant to purchase an F-150.

The author has given people a break when they have a license to BYE and purchased BYN, but that is at his discretion. BYE and BYN are 2 separate products with separate licenses and there is no mechanism for upgrading or exchanging between them. You already have a license for BYE, but there is no way to return it for a refund. Just as there is no way to invalidate it. There is also no way for Guylain to confirm that you have destroyed it. Your careless (sorry to be critical) purchasing of the wrong product then asking for a refund puts him in an awkward position. The fastest solution is for you to purchase a BYN license. You can keep the BYE license for a time when you may purchase a supported Canon camera.

This is all just my opinion as a long-time BYE user and in no way is intended to reflect O'Telescope licensing policy.

You might also try sending a private email to support@otelescope.com to plead your case.
