Did you warn me somewhere TRIAL

Question

I finally had a nice night to go out into the countryside and try some astrophotography.  I downloaded a trial version of your software, made sure it worked at home and headed out that night.  Much to my chagrin, it wanted an internet connection out in a farm field in the middle of nowhere.  Really?    I have copy protected software that requires a call back to home every 30 days to work, I make sure to contact the mother ship before I go where there isn't connectivity.

Your software sure looks useful, I don't have a problem spending $35 but I need to know what other potential surprises I may experience.  I need to know the rules in advance that I have to follow to make sure your software functions where there isn't internet.

Thanks,

Szumi

I'm glad you like the software but I make no excuse for trying to protect my intellectual property.  Too may people have tried to circumvent the trial process in the past and as a result trial keys requires Internet access at all time; full stop.  It could probably be more documented but I have also found that it does not matter how many times things are documented, most of us (including me) don't necessarily read :(

Purchase keys do not require Internet access.

Regards,

Regards,

I  purchased a classic license last night.  I have no issues with you protecting your interests, it is obvious that you have put a great deal of time and effort into your offering.  I would suggest that  you should make an effort to make clear that the trial version is tethered to the internet..  One gets one chance to make a good first impression.

Best,  .
