MC-DC2 Question

Question

I am confused regarding hardware requirements.

I go to Amazon and order this (I have a D7000 and D610):

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001F6TXME/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=278V24KR6OJN2&coliid=INPAWYVR9YZ7Q

Then I'm good to go, o do r I need to mod this cable? I read the stickies and am confused if a 'custom' cable needs to be fashioned or not.

Please help.

Regards,

Louis Marchesi

Hi there, I think you are over complicating this :)

For the D610 all you need is the camera supplied USB cable, nothing else.

For the D7000 you need the camera supplied USB cable + Steve Rosenow serial cable for BULB.

Hope this helps,

That helped!

For now, I've connected the D610. So you mean those 'Canon guys' have been having loads of fun all this while? Sure, I only took a picture of my office wall, but I'm loving it. Where do I send my money for a license :D

I'll probably have questions, but I'll save those for another thread and after I've had time to RTFM :)

BackyardNIKON is not for sale yet.  It is still in BETA testing phase.  I'm hoping to release the production quality version late June or sometime in July.  It will available for purchase on the web site then.
