Question

Prior to last night I started BYEOS by clicking on the icon on my desktop.  My imaging session had several oddities.  My images were being saved in the BackyardEOS folder rather that BACKYARDEOS\LIBRARY\LIGHT which always had been the save folder.  Also, Astrotortilla couldn't connect.  Dithering parameters were different, etc, etc.  After doing some investigating I found that I needed to start BYEOS as an administrator.

Is this something to do with a Windows update?  Is there a remedy?

Thanks,

Jeff

Have you done any software upgrades recently (since the last time that it worked)? BYE to 3.1.8? Windows 10 Anniversary Edition? New anti-virus or firewall software?

As far as saving your images is concerned, is BYE saving them to the folder that is specified as the Download folder on the Settings page?

As far as Astro Tortilla, you need to make sure that the TCP port that AT and BYE use (default is port number 1499) are not blocked for communication between programs that are running locally on the PC.
