Canon Shutter Actuation Count

I read online that it is (was?) displayed each time the camera is "connected"...is the shutter count information still available, and if so, how do I find it?

This no longer works sadly.  Canon has pulled this function from the SDK a few years ago.  There use to be a back door in the SDK to get that value but it is not there anymore
