Drift alignment questions

frainiea

Question

I am just starting to try my hand at imaging, DOB guy by experience.  So last night I made an attempt to drift align for the first time. This is my question:  I can see the drift in amplified reticule, I know to hit record, but I am not clear on how to see what is recorded.  Is it in a file somewhere?  I see the star drift but there is no "trail".

What amount of drift at 10X is nominal, I ran 5 min test and the star move half the width of the box in the reticule.  Good enough?

So after spending two hours doing this procedure I captured some frames as a test and BAM star trails.

The drift recording will be saved as an AVI in "My Pictures\BackyardEOS\" folder in V3.

You should see the trail if your alignment is not perfect.

You can zoom +/- on the image using your wheel-mouse.

Hope this helps,
