Question
Alfredo Beltran
Hi
I want to share with you this narrow band image of the NGC 2264 Cone Nebula.
It was taken with the C9.25 EdgeHD and hyperstar at f2.3 with a modified Canon T1i. Total exposure was 8.1 hours and was taken during three nights (April 11, 12 and 13). It is the compose of: Ha (45x180 seconds) for the red channel, OIII (37x300 seconds) for the green channel and SII (33x300 seconds) for the blue channel. I also used the Ha as a luminance.
Knowing that narrow band imaging is aimed mainly for mono CCDs I liked the result with the DSLR.
Processing was done entirely on Pixinsight. Each image was calibrated individually and I just used the red channel of the Ha and SII images and the green channel of the OIII image.
Thanks for looking!
Best regards
Alfredo
