Cannot connect 7DII

I cannot connect my newest (170,00 shots) Canon 7DII camera body to my laptop running BYE via the 7DII cable connected to the camera's digital terminal. I have connected an older 7DII camera body using the same cable, so it's not the cable or the laptop.

Is there another port on the 7DII such as the HDMI port that can be used with BYE to operate this camera body?

You need to connect your camera via USB.  HDMI and any other method of connection is not supported.

Make sure your computer sees the camera in Device Manager.

It appears that the digital terminal on that one 7DII is toast, as BYE connects immediately to another 7DII and a 7D camera bodies.
