Nikon Z30

software version: BackyardNIKON 2.1 Trial Edition [OTL-BYN-T]

Can't get it to connect with my Nikon Z30.  No driver option to select and other Nikon drivers don't work.

Not yet, I would need to see i Nikon has released the SDK first.

I just verified, and Nikon does have not yet released the SDK for the z30 yet. As of today, these are the Z models with an SDK.

Is this because the Z30 is a new model?

Most likely, yes. It can take a few months before Nikon releases the SDK for newer models, though they have been pretty quick to release them in the past few years.
