intervalometer in parallel to Backyard Nikon

chanan2009@gmail.com

Question

Hi,

Using the app with a Nikon Z7ii. I am running a time lapse using the intervalometer and then I want to stop and have the app run a scrip for different exposure lengths and ISO settings.

When I connect the tether to the camera the app connects fine. But when the intervalometer runs the app crashes, consistently. When the intervalometer is not connected - no crashes.

Is it possible to run when both are connected? To be clear they are not firing shooting commands at the same time.

Thanks

What I meant by "crash" is just that. After connecting the app to the camera, the intervalometer fired off one shot and within 10 seconds or less the App just disappeared and not longer shows up as a running process under the task manager.

Good news thought, I have found the right sequence that allows me to use both:

1. Connect both tether and intervalometer but keep the intervalometer power off. Connect the app to the camera and capture an image with the app.

2. Then turn on the intervalometer and the app stays connected and does not crash.

If you have the intervalometer running and then connect the app it will crash 100% of the time, at least with my Nikon Z7ii and a Windows 10 machine.
