Canon does not expose video shooting through their SDK software library that Backyard EOS (not EOS Backyard) uses. However, BYE does provide the capability to capture individual LiveView frames and assemble them into a video. If you switch to 5X zoom, the frames and the video wi8ll be at the full resolution of the sensor. All of this can be done without touching the camera.

Are there any YouTube tutorials showing how this is done?

Thank you

The developer did a YouTube video about 10 years ago with an older version of BYE. So if you recognize that the app has changed quite a bit since then, much of what it shows is still relevant. Of course the old video does not show anything about the new features. The video is available through the following post here in the Backyard EOS Forum

As you can see the video is very long. The part about Planetary Imaging starts at about an hour and 50 minutes into the video. If you are a new user and don't want to read the User Guide that is installed with BYE, you might watch the entire video.
