Nikon D5100 camera not found with Windows 7

edres

Question

I can upload pictures to my Windows 7 laptop using the Nikon USB cable and Nikon Transfer software but

BNY v 2.1 will not recognize the D5100 camera on Windows 7 but does recognize the D5100 camera using a Windows 10 computer (same camera & cable).

(BYE v 3.2 recognizes my Canon 60D camera on both the Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers).

Any suggestions?

Found a soultion - I had been choosing Nikon camera driver "Nikon2015" but when I choose "Nikon" the camera connected without issues.  Strange that "Nikon2015" worked on the Windows 10 computer.
