Connect Nikon D7000

I connected  my Nikon D7000  and after a couple of pictures the system locked up.  I had to shut my computer down to regain functin and now i  cannot get my camera to connect again even though it is recognized by the pc.  Any elp would be appreciated

yes Did a reinstall and the it now works fine.  Have connected, disconnected a number of times and everything is working perfectly now.  Thanks for the help

I have a similar issue with my D7000.  What I've found is that the camera won't connect reliably when it's in Manual mode.  But it does connect fine when in Program mode.  So what I'm doing now is setting mode to "P", connect, then set mode to "M".

 

See if that solves your problem.

Another thing is that if your camera was turned off while the mirror was up it will not connect.  You need to turn it on, off again (to flip the mirror back down), and on again.

Looks like the SDK is not initializing properly.

 

Remove the SD card and try again.  If you have multiple images on the card it can take a few minutes for the SDK to build an index or all images on the card.

 

Try removing the battery for a few minutes, reboot the computer, put the battery back in and try again.

tried it all  Removed the battery took out the sd cards took all images off them reformatted them took battery out again rebooted computer again still wont connect

ummm, this is very odd

 

Did you change any settings in the camera?

Can you try to re-install BYN in a different folder to see if that will make a difference.

This is weird though.  When you have time can you send me the log file, I want to see if something was logged that can shed some light on the root cause.
