pause after mirror movement

Krawler14

Question

does this feature work on all models? I have an 1100D and this was set at "1" which is im assuming seconds.  but when I set it to 10 (just to see if its working) the camera still starts capturing right away.  I was told to always make sure exposure starts after vibration is gone in the camera from the mirror movement, this is the correct setting im looking at or?

thanks for any help!

Hi,

As per the camera support grid the 1100D does not have mirror lock function and it can not work with your camera model :(

You were told wrong, mirror lock is not useful at all on long exposure imaging.  Any vibration, if any, gets washed away by the subsequent extended exposure.  Hope this makes sense.

Regards,
