Backyard EOS and Focus MAX

Greetings to the BackyardEOS collective....

 

Just a quick question to ask....I have a  copy of Focus MAX...

I'm just curious to ask...is Backyard EOS and Focus MAX compatible?

AFAIK, FocusMax cannot use BYE as an image source.

 

BYE has an API that FocusMax could use to get an image, but the API does not have the capabilities that FM needs/wants. BYE works by saving the image to the hard drive and returning the file path to that image. FM wants only a region of interest.

 

It seems to me as though Steve Brady (FM author) could wrap the BYE API to provide the data that he needs, the way he needs it, but he does not seem interested in doing that. Of course, you could make the case to him how important it is for you to have FM get data from BYE/BYN! Perhaps another voice would be effective.
