Just like the original MGBox, it can be used stand alone using just a USB-Cable that is connected to your computer providing environmental and GPS information. The optional Ascom local server driver makes this information also available to other applications (thru the Ascom Observing Conditions specification). Optionally and additionally, it can be plugged straight into the computer of your 10Micron mount if you are the lucky owner of one.

It combines the outstanding accuracy of the Bosch BME280 environmental sensor with a GlobalTop PA6C GPS-Module. The optional Ascom local server driver makes the environmental information also available to other applications. It has the same features as MGBox V2 but combines the possiblity to remotely shutdown / power up your 10Micron mount (or any other mount that requires a pulse of a certain duration).
