thank you i understand now i didn`t realise it was taking the data from the lcd screen i presumed it would take the image from the sensor well you live and learn

can you please tell me why the file size on avi planetary captures are so small i.e 960*480 if i click the 5x option i still only a smal increase in size i have a canon eos r and although it works great on all the functions i have tested so far this limitation is a big disapointment as i may as well use my zwo asi120c for planetary if this is the best i can do
