Question
SeattleStarGazer
I am thinking of imaging the eclipse in August with my Canon 5D Mk III, either through a camera lens or my telescope at f/4.5. My initial thought was make a movie starting shortly before totality with filter, taking filter off at start of totality, and completing it as totality ends. As this will be my first solar eclipse, I don't want to have to do anything manually other than start and finish the exposure. Would BackyardEOS be useful in this, or maybe just use the 5D movie mode?
Looking for suggestions as to settings too!
Thanks!
