  1. My friend and mentor who uses Backyard EOS came over last night to help me with BYN v:2.0 on Windows 10 I have MacBook Pro 15" (Late 2016) with 16 GHz memory and 1TB SSD. MacOS Mojave 10.14.1 running Parallels 14.1.0 (45387) Nikon D750 later version firmware: C 1.10 L 2.015 I'm using Nikon USB cable. I've purchased the Pro version of BYN Problem 1: Camera refocuses after we either focus manually or with Frame & Focus in BYN. We focus the camera, take a test shot with Imaging & Preview and the lens is no longer focused. Problem 2: BYN would lock up when w
  2. Sorry, I'm new at Backyard Nikon, and also to Nikon equipment. My problem is in trying to take planetary video, (camera is set to 'M') but I cannot alter the exposure time, which defaults to something like 15seconds. What am I doing wrong? Never had this issue on the Canon and BYEOS...trying to operate the Nikon similarly. Any suggestions?
  3. Hi last night I had two problems. I have seen them both before, but considered them to be coincidences. But they were not. 1. At some point BYN refused to display preview images. No matter what I did I could not make them show. I had to use an other program to display them. 2. During a long night imaging I have to change the battery pack. A few times I have forgotten to disconnect before removing the battery. The loss of power of course disconnects BYN, but it is then impossible to reconnect. I get a message that I have to select the correct Canon driver. (Don't remember the exact wording
  4. Hi I have a couple of questions regarding live view. 1. When I use live view (without BYN) the camera screen responds to every setting I do (ISO/fps) by giving me a brighter/darker image correspondingly. However, what ever setting I use in the camera it seem to have no effect on the live view screen in BYN. Is it me that has missed something or is this by design? 2. Why does not live view (and imaging for that matter) work with U1/U2 camera settings? It would have been so convinient to be able to preset all astro photo settings to one of them. (I have all my preferred settings stored in
  5. This is one for the future I suppose, but after I got my D750 with built in wireless I started thinking if wireless could work with Backyard Nikon as well? I can control the camera from my iPhone using Nikon WMU app (very simplistic) and as I understand the Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 can operate the camera using a wireless connection. I can connect to the camera directly from my laptop, but I cannot do anything as I have no software to control the camera. Wouldn't it be great if we could do away with the USB cable all together?
