Hi. My D500 appears to allow me to achieve "1:1 (100%)" pixel display in Live Mode. It's the 4th zoom level, or alternatively, the multi-selector button toggles directly to the "1:1 (100%)" zoom mode as defined in the Custom Settings --> Controls --> f2 setting. Does this mean that I have the same ability to achieve best resolution in Planetary mode as Canons? My other alternative on the D500 is to record 4K /30fps video (which employs a 1.45x crop) bypassing BYN, though that results on much bigger (but still manageable) video files that I need to convert to .avi before stacking. I'd love to hear views on which of these methods will give me the best planetary videos for stacking. Thanks! Andrew
I, too, cannot connect my D500. The log shows no other info than the camera is unable to be found. Have tried multiple cables with no success. Program can still find my D7100, but it usually takes a few tries. I attempted to install the files provided to another member via Dropbox but the files can no longer be accessed. Thanks!
Last week we resolved the connection issues with my D810A, but I also have the same connection issue with the D500. Here is what I have done: 1. Tried BYN version 2.0.5, with the original Nikon D500 drivers - does not connect 2. Tried same with the latest D500 drivers downloaded from the Nikon SDK - same, no connection OS is Windows 7. It is my understanding that there are people out there able to use BYN with the D500. How did you get it to work? I have attached my log file. Somebody please help. I am trying to get ready for the eclipse, and I need to be able to control both the D810A and D500. Thank you. logfile-[20170802-17h54m07s169]--2017-08-02.txt

Guy, do I need to have the usb 3.0 connected to my D500 AND a usb to the 10 pin controller also for BYN to control the D500? With my D7000 I needed the usb 2.0 and the 8 pin controller connected. TY The above log was generated with only the usb 3.0 connected. I have to find a 10 pin to usb connection cable in the future as I only have a non compatible 8 pin. Dave in Chicago
