If your original Ring Set was damaged, you can use this product as an exact replacement.The hinged ring system separates easily by loosening the over-sized metal thumbscrews, and locks securely back into place once the OTA has been nestled inside the rings. Each extruded aluminum ring set is topped with a slotted carry handle so that it is easy to move your telescope around when it is off the mount. Attach a camera, guide scope, or other accessory to the top of the handle with standard 1/4-20 bolts. Each cradle ring assembly comes with a dovetail plate for quick attachment to a variety of ''Vixen-style'' mounts, including the Twilight Mount from Explore Scientific.
