If your original Ring Set was damaged, you can use this product as an exact replacement. Explore Scientific cradle assemblies fit their appointed telescope OTA snuggly, yet protect the delicate surface of the tube. The hinged ring system separates easily by loosening the over-sized metal thumbscrews, and locks securely back into place once the OTA has been nestled inside the rings. Each extruded aluminum ring set is topped with a slotted carry handle so that it is easy to move your telescope around when it is off the mount. Attach a camera, guide scope, or other accessory to the top of the handle with standard 1/4-20 bolts. Each cradle ring assembly comes with a dovetail plate for quick attachment to a variety of ''Vixen-style'' mounts, including the Twilight Mount from Explore Scientific.
