The most accurate way to re-position the eyepiece on EQ mounted Newtonians. Rotating tube rings eliminate balance and alignment problems when adjusting eyepiece position for optimal viewing comfort. A must with GoTo systems where alignment is so critical.
These 6.5" rotating tube rings are made of die-cast aluminum finished in gloss black paint. The hinges, no-tool knobs, and hardware are made of stainless steel for long life and easy telescope installation and removal.
The rings are installed onto your mount or mount dovetail plate via a 1/4"-20 thread mounting hole that is drilled and tapped in the flat boss on the bottom of each ring. A similar hole is drilled and tapped on the top boss so that accessories, such as a piggyback camera mount, can be attached.
