   Explore Scientific Focuser for AR Series Telescopes (2") [ES-FOCDAR-00]

   Explore Scientific: All Explore focusers are 2", and come with 1.25" compression ring eyepiece adapters. The adapter, or your 2" eyepiece or barreled accessory, locks securely into place with three set screws so everything stays put. All of these focusers have 10:1 micro-focusing knobs as well as a rough focus knob. 10:1 means that you would have to rotate the microfocusing knob ten times to get the same focus movement with just one turn, or rotation, of the larger knob. The focus knobs themselves are large and knurled, so that you can grip them easily, even when your hands are cold or you are wearing gloves. A tension adjustment feature is included on all focusers. The ability to lock and/or adjust the tension on the drawtube is a nice characteristic, and you'll appreciate it when you increase or decrease the weight of eyepieces, cameras, or other accessories.
