  1. yes, for example I go to 'frame and focus', then on the right side of the main image I'm trying to press the '5x' button. can't attach screenshot as it was bigger than what is allowed to upload for the forum re moving the zoom box: the effect is the same, even I move the box or not please see the log file attached logfile-[20201218-16h42m06s879]-[9360]-2020-12-18.txt
  2. Hi, I'm trying to use Backyard EOS with a Canon 5D MkIV camera. When I press on the '5x' button, the application freezes a bit, then 'nothing happens' (e.g. nothing changes visually and the 5x button remains 'unselected'). I wonder what I'm doing wrong. This is with Backyard EOS 3.2.1 Premium Edition and a Canon 5D MkIV camera. Akos
  3. Hi, I'm a newbie to astrology and astro imaging. I have a question that is not strictly related to Backyard EOS - please direct me to appropriate other forums or discussion groups if necessary. I'm trying to create images of planets, for example Saturn, but I can't really get a good focus / clear image using my EOS camera. The best I can get is what you can see in the screenshot attached. (The screenshot has been resized so as to accommodate the upload file size limit here on the forum.) When looking at the planet with the regular eyepiece, it is visible clearly to the human eye. I can even create an image of the planet with a cell phone pointing through the eyepiece that is better than what I see through the EOS camera. What am I doing wrong? I'm using the following: Celestron AVX 152/1500 (6") Schmid-Cassegrain telescope Canon EOS 5D Mk IV Celestron T adapter Celestron T-ring for Canon EOS cameras Backyard EOS trial edition 3.1.18 Any pointers, including pointers to other (maybe more appropriate) forums welcome! Ákos
  4. I'm trying to try out Backyard EOS, just downloaded the trial version, 3.1.18, and trying to connect my 5D Mk IV to it. Canon's own EOS utility can connect to the camera fine. With Backyard EOS, I'm getting the following: 20:34:40 Attempting to connect camera... 20:34:40 Canon drivers 'Canon\' initialized. 20:34:41 5D-MkIV CONNECTED! 20:34:42 EdsInitializeSDK() ERROR! I wonder what's wrong?
