  1. Sorry, I'm new at Backyard Nikon, and also to Nikon equipment. My problem is in trying to take planetary video, (camera is set to 'M') but I cannot alter the exposure time, which defaults to something like 15seconds. What am I doing wrong? Never had this issue on the Canon and BYEOS...trying to operate the Nikon similarly. Any suggestions?
  2. No, I recently purchased BackyardNikon for camera2 but have used BYEOS on camera1 for several years, until corrupted few weeks back. Only the newer purchase shows in my account. Don't know why EOS is not there but that purchase was early 2014 timeframe.
  3. Okay, I've reinstalled BYE in a different folder, which now prompts me for the license key, which I have not saved anywhere. My bad but just didn't think about this at the time.
  4. I've searched notebooks for some record of the license key but not finding it. It's possible that I used the email "mikehbopp@yahoo.com' as account name. I don't know how that helps me now. Below is the error I get when trying to launch the application. I've been using it for years on same computer. So, baffled by the error.
  5. Hello Guylain, Will I not need a software key for the upgrade? I have lost my record of the key and see nothing on-line under my account that gives it. Thanks, Mike Hager
  6. My BYEOS is corrupted but cannot find a key to reload. Nothing shows in the "my purchases" but my purchase would date back to early 2014 or late 2013.

  8. I have purchased BYEOS Premium on my primary computer but wishing to control two cameras for the eclipse Monday. I then made mistake of downloading a trial version to old Mac before discovering not compatible. Next idea was to download to wife's computer but saw a warning about downloading multiple trials. So now I'm stuck on what to do(?) What are my options? Are customers permitted to run a purchased BYEOS on two computers? If so, I don't know how to find my product key on my existing copy. Please advise. Thanks!
  9. Yes, chalk it up to 1st time operator error. I had not changed to 'bulb' setting on camera so all's well after finding the mistake. Thanks for the specific instructions.
  10. I'm a new user of BYEOS. It works with mixed success with my Canon XSi. I can only do up to 30 second exposures. When attempting Bulb, extended exposures I get an error about mirror lockup. This persists whether I select '0' (zero) or some positive number for mirror lock.
