Canon 5D mark4

Hi.

connecting my canon 5D mark 4 gives me no joy.

It recognizes that a mark 4 is connected (by looking at the connection log) but no connection is achieved. Is this because the DIGIC 6+ is too dissimilar to DIGIC 6?

Please take a look at this thread.

The Canon SDK for 5D MK4 was not release at the time BYE 3.1.8 was and therefore BYE can not recognize it,

It usually takes Canon roughly 3 to 6 months to release a new SDK once a new camera is released.  Sadly I need to wait until they do

Did you get numbers like these trying to connect?

If yes post them here, depending on what those numbers are I may be able to do something in the meantime.

Thank you for those numbers

4294967294(FFFFFFFE) confirms that is is not supported by the current SDK.  Unfortunately I need to wait until Canon releases it

This may take a few months.

I am getting the same issue and log data as MikeZ with my new 5D MKIV.

As it has been 5 months sincethe last post, any news on a release date for the SDK from Canon?

Canon does not announce the release of new versions of the SDK. Developers must go onto the correct web site and look. Guylain does this periodically. I am sure that he is anxious to add support for new cameras, including yours, into BYE.
