Question

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me out. I had purchased Backyard Nikon sometime ago as I mostly use a Nikon D610 for everything I do. I wanted to get into planetary and purchased a Canon 70D because I noticed some functions Canon has on Backyard EOS compared to Nikon like the 5x Zoom. So I gave it a go last night and my images were extremely bright on Jupiter. I then switched over to my Nikon and they were fine. I was using the basic settings in the Backyard EOS trial in planetary settings. I was just wondering what settings most people use because when it comes to this Canon I have no idea, I've been a Nikon person for a long time. Also I noticed I was only getting 14fps with the Canon. With my Nikon I was getting 31 fps. Is there some setting of the Canon cameras I'm missing?

Nikon delivers live view images faster than the Canon bodies does so the fps will be lower on Canon bodies.

As for brightness of images with Canon, you need to select a TV shutter speed fast enough, not bulb.  You can also play with ISO.
