canon t6s/760D

I just bought a canon t6s(760D). I can talk to the camera and download pictures via the eos utility but the BYE 3.1.3 does not seem to recognize it. I loaded task manager to ensure no other application was using the camera.

I'm really impressed with the Backyard EOS. I tried getting it to work with my new Cannon Rebel T6s. I had no problem getting the software (trial) to work when connecting to my computer with a USB cord...but could not figure out how to connect it by WiFi. 

 

It seems that Wifi connectivity is restricted with the T6s as it won't connect to the EOS utility via WiFi. Because of that is there no chance that the Backyard EOS will be able to connect to the T6s via wifi?

Wifi is not supported.  However, a lot of people were able to establish a paired connection with EOS Utility first, and when this was done BYE was able to connect.

The T6s is not yet supported in BYE, per the camera support grid here.

 

Once a new version of the Canon SDK is available to Guylain it does not usually take him too long to release an updated version of BYE.  He may ask owners of new camera models to beta test the new version of BYE before a general release.

 

It does seem that Canon does not always release an new version of the SDK to the whole world simultaneously.  For example, they may release a new version to Europe and Asia before releasing it to North America.
