Camera Image File Numbering

jolasa1

Question

Is there an option with the Premium version to number images sequentially, starting with a selected number?

Like:

img_001.CR2,  img_002.CR2, etc.

Or if initial number is set = 5:

img_005.CR2,  img_006.CR2, etc.

Yes and no.

Go to Settings -> click edit file name ellipsis -> Select sequence as unique identifier (at the bottom).

The number will automatically be set to the same in-camera image number if you save to PC+Computer.  If you save to PC only the number starts at 1 automatically each time you connected the camera.  This is the default Canon SDK behavior when not saving to card.

Hope this helps,

I am using Premium Edition 3.1.3.

Where do I find options to save to PC and/or Computer in Settings?  I do see "In Camera" under Quality - does this mean it saves images to the camera using the settings for image size/quality set in the camera?

It's in the capture plan, just above where to enter your target name.

Choosing the In Camera image quality tells BYE to use whatever the current value is set in the camera.  It does not control where the image is saved.  Per Guylain, that setting is selected in the Capture Plan Center.  See the attached screenshot.
