unhandled error : access to path is denied

Just installed BYE3.1  on my new desktop,  get a BackyardEOS.Start error  "OOPS! this is embarrassing. An unhandled error has occurred. Access to the path'C:\users\Daniel\pictures\backyardtemp\logs' is denied"

running win 8.1 64bit. Was a new install on a new machine,

Tried uninstalling and installing 3.0.1 and have the same error.

When I click on ok program disappears.  any suggestions? (3.1 is an upgrade)

Does that ...\logs folder exist?  What permissions are on it?

Well, you have something messed up in your windows permission for sure, BYE does not require admin rights.

 

However, in your case you will probably need to find the root cause in Windows -or- simply run BYE as administrator and that should get you going at least.
