Open source files (Operating system)

Question

Hey Guys and gals,

I  was initiated to the software DISTRO ASTRO 3.0  last year it is a operating software that is strictly dedictated to astronomy, all the needed softwares are installed all the required drivers for a huge list of hardware are already installed and also mutitude list of application from controlling your telescope to stacking images, of course the software installed on there are freeware. So before i make this OS available here i will need the Mods to approve that i can (it is a freeware open source OS) here are a couple of snapshots i did , i run it with vmware of course, i wanted to get used to it.

Even the Background images are all astronomy related already installed!

I will need this file to be approved by Guylain Rochon

Hi Martin,

You can post a download link for sure but the download section of www.otelescope.com is restricted to files I own of sell only.

Any conversation related to astronomy is fair game on this forum.

From what I understand Distro Astro is runs under Linux.  Many people who use BYE and BYN do so on small, perhaps under-powered laptops that would not be good candidates for VM running Linux and Distro Astro. Since BYE and BYN run under Windows .NET it does not seem a good fit.  Of course it is up to Guylain, but it may be enough to point users at the download site for Distro Astro and let them make up their own mind.

Nice ok, thanks for the response guys, of course a small laptop is not good enough to run vmware or etc.. and as far for the .net that Guylain codes in,

Nice if i understood there is also a place for our own pictures on here, perfect and lovin it!

Cheers guys a pretty excited guy since the purchase lol!
