Full Screen Presentation - No stretch in BYNikon 2.1.2

fkleinha

Question

I have only been one nite out in the field with BY Nikon 2.1.2

I'm not sure when I did this upgrade and can't seem to find my previous version, out here in the field.

I remember the stretch function being on the 'home' page; middle right.  I remember it affecting both the display window on the home page and the 'Full Screen' display option.

Now suddenly it seems to have moved to a 'tab' function on the home page display window AND it does not operate on the Full Screen display.

Am I missing something?  Is there a fix somewhere?  I prefer the old placement better.

I see that a similar problem occurred in 2017 so I assume this is a bug; or maybe I was just too tired in the field to operate properly.

Fritz,

I am running BYE 3.2.2 which is from the same code base as BYN 2.1.2.

For me the Histogram Center controls are where they have always been. In Imaging mode they are on the right of the image display area and above the Capture Plan Center.

I believe that BYE and BYN will re-position some control groups based on the monitor size and resolution and the size of the application main window.

Also, for me, the screen stretch does not effect the Presentation Mode window. I do not know whether this is new behavior or not because I don't use Presentation mode very much.

If you want to confirm whether this is a change or not, you can download old releases from the Download link at the bottom of this page.

The move into a tab is based on your screen size, this has always been like this since inception.  There is just not enough space on laptop with small screen resolution. What is your screen resolution?

You are correct, the stretch function is not applied in presentation mode using BYN 2.1.2.  I went back as far as 2014... and the stretch was applied to full-screen presentation back then. My guess.... is I worked on the presentation mode a few years back to fix issues when someone had more than one screen, I must have removed this feature without noticing it.... and no one actually noticed it until now :(

Rick:  Thanks for pointing out I can download previous versions of BYN.

Admin:  Thanks for the answer.  My screen resolution is 1920x1080 but I have 150% scaling implemented. This has some strange effects on some of my software.  The strange thing is:  I have been using this laptop for some time and BYN and BYEOS have always worked the same way with the stretch function displayed in the main home page window and affecting the full screen display.  Some subtle thing has happened somewhere that I have to track down now.

thanks, fritz k

Can you post a print screen showing the histogram location?
