Live View ON or OFF

jolasa1

Question

When I use Live View in BYEOS Frame and Focus, it essentially turns OFF the viewing screen on the camera?  This is also the case for the Imaging tab also.

Right?

So this cuts down on any camera temperature rise due to the viewing screen being ON.

It's not BYE that does that, it's the camera... and yes, you actually want the LCD off to prevent heat and light leaks onto the sensor from the LCD screen... not to mention added battery drainage and extra light to mess up your night vision :)

Speaking of "Light Leaks":

You'll want to cover the Viewfinder - either with the plastic Viewfinder Cap that is attached to the Canon Neck Strap that came with your Camera (oh, that's what That Is...) or a piece of Painters Tape...

(Some models let Ambient Light shining into the Viewfinder to reach the edges of the Sensor - your Red Flashlight or a LED on the Mountor a Street Light or somebody's Car Lights...)
