autostart in Daylight

It would be nice if there was a setting option to automatically start the application for Daylight use, instead of having it always start in Night Vision, and then having to manually set it to Daylight.

BYE remembers the last setting automatically.  If you close BYE with daylight on it should be on the next time you start BYE.

Doesn't work for me.  Using BackyardEOS 3.2.1 Trial Edition.  I set it to Daylight and close the application, but it always opens back up under Night Vision.

It would still be good to have an option to configure a default setting for either Daylight or Night Vision.  If I close the application at night, but start it back up in the daytime, it will be very difficult to see it under bright sunlight.

The problem is that BYE is not remembering any changes/customizations that you do to your settings. This is due to a problem with Windows permissions that is preventing BYE from saving settings changes.

Others have fixed this by giving the Users group Full Control of the folder where BYE is installed. Here is a screenshot that shows how to get to the screen to change permissions.

I had to uninstall BackyardEOS for a factory reset.  The speakers on the new laptop appear to be defective and I need to ship it back to HP for repairs under warranty.  Would it be possible to cancel my trial and start it back up at a future date?  It could be months until I get the laptop back due to pandemic delays and I won't be able to test the software outdoors without a laptop.

I cannot send private messages on the website.  I keep getting an error message of "You did not pass the security check.  Please try again."

No worries about the trial.  I don't shy away from granting a second 30-day Trial to anyone that asks.

Just make sure to ask when you need that second trial.  It is important that this is done with the same account because if you create a second account and request a trial using a separate account the validation server know and over time you'll get blocked/banned.  I can't stress enough the importance of not creating a second account for a second trial.
