Pdf Version Of Bye 3.1 Manual/help?

It's a simple question really: Is there (will there be?) a pdf version of a manual for BYE 3.1?

 

I thought I saw a version of that somewhere but now I can't find it. I've tried searching the forum, BYE folder on my PC, and via google.

Version 3.1 only has a .chm help file; you need to click the ' ? ' icon in the upper right corner of BYE.

 

I can compile a version in PDF if the demand is there.

It's nice to have a manual in PDF form so it can be on a tablet (iPad) for reference. Unfortunately chm's are only good on Windows afaik.

yeah, makes sense.  I'll see if I can quickly compile a pdf from the chm and add it with the installer.

While a PDF Version of the Help File might be useful, I think it might be preferable to let Guylain find time around the BYN Launch to finish the few Help Items that are missing Images or still Empty Sections.

Yeah, a few sections are not complete and the last minute features like 'preview' are not in there yet

One very desirable Feature Addition to the Help .CHM would be a Night-mode version of the CHM with the same Effective color scheme as the BYE App's Night-mode.  This "Alternate" CHM wouldn't have any different Content other than trading the Black-on-White Color Scheme for Dark_Red-on-Black, so that one can safely reference the onboard Help without seriously damaging one's Night-Adaption.  When the BYE App is in Night-mode, this Night-mode "Alternative" CHM would be presented upon Clicking the Help "?" Button.

 

Hopefully, such a Feature would require only Compilation of the same Help Document with different Text and Background Color values - the embedded Images are already quite "Safe" for Night-mode.

There are several CHM File Readers available on iTunes App Store for your iPad.

You can find the BYE CHM File as "BackyardEOS UserGuide.CHM" in the BYE Program Directory.
