Backyard Nikon trial unable to validate license suddenly

I've had BYnikon 30 day trial for a couple days and it worked fine on original install and use. Today, I tried to run the program again and get the license validation error in the attached screen shot. I have verified I have internet, and have verified the latest BYNikon is not newer than when it was working. I've seen other license validation issues on the forum the last day or two, so believe I'm in the same no-go situation. Please advise if I can try anything else. 

 

Error screen message:

License validation error!

Trial keys require Internet access and MUST use the latest release; make sure to download the latest release.

I believe this is now fixed.  It was related to TLS 1.1 being deprecated; I had to force it to use TLS 1.2 and now it should work

The developers are aware of the issue that several users of the Trial license for both BYE and BYN have reported it. Please be patient.
