License activation error on new trial.

Unable to activate the license and therefore can't start imaging. The software worked just fine last night and no config changes on my system. 

"Trial keys require Internet access and MUST use the latest release....."

Please advise.

I believe this is now fixed.  It was related to TLS 1.1 being deprecated; I had to force it to use TLS 1.2 and now it should work

I have the same problem , I am trying the demo version  and first day It was good but the next day , the problem with the license appeared.

I have been having the same problem. I just followed this instruction of downloading the latest pre-release using the provided link and got the same result.

The only way to get this error is if the REST API call to the server throws a System.Net.WebException.  This is 100% related to your system NOT letting the call to the server go through.

If you are connected to the Internet, please make sure your firewall and/or antivirus is not blocking access to the server.  You may need to turn them off momentarily for the validation or whitelist otelescope.com.

Having the same problem. Checked o'telescope's access permissions in my anti-virus program (Mcafee) and these are allowed incoming and outgoing. Tried turning off firewall & anti-virus but negative result

Yes, I have the same as above.  I enable everything through the Firewall but no joy.

Is it possible that the server changed and access now prevents anonymous access for validation?

Same error here. Had the trial for two weeks and no problem opening the software until tonight. The only night that I've had clear skies since getting the trial and now it won't open  Tried the latest pre-release and no different.

Last night I opened a new thread on this topic and the administrator refers me to this one.
Last night I was able to open the application, and after closing it and trying to enter a while later I could not.
I am being unable to access BYE whatever I do. I have an internet connection and, as recommended last night, I have removed the firewall and antivirus, and everything remains the same.
It's maddening.

I have now downloaded the pre-release and have turned off anti-virus and firewall protections and still get the firewall notification when I try to login.  There has to be something else I can do?

This appears to be a server error.  I'm looking into it.  Meanwhile, please stop posting you can't activate you key. I will come back to this thread once this is resolved.

Like Microsoft would say "Working on it....".  The difference is that I'm actually working on it.

I cannot reproduce on any of my computers.  However, my business partner in O'Telescope can reproduce from his, so he is looking in to it as we speak.
