Problem focusing with Canon 7d Mark ii

I purchased a used Canon 7D Mark ii (replacing my T7) and use a Bahtinov mask to focus.  With the 7D, my focus object was a blob in the frame and focus windows.  It was just fine with the T7.  Switching to the Imaging window, the 7D with mask looked just fine.  Is there an issue with the camera?  EOS version 3.1.18.  Thanks

Are you saying that with the same scope and same exposure settings with both the T7 and the 7D Mk II that you could see the diffraction spikes with the T7, but not with the 7D?

Yes.  When the 7D didn't look right, I swapped the camera to the T7.  Nothing else was changed.

Both the Canon T7 and the Canon 7DmkII have the same Canon EF-S Lens Mount and the same Back-Focus.  These are Mechanical elements of the Camera Design which DO NOT Change.  So, however inadvertent the Change of the Focuser, you Must have bumped it while swapping the Camera Bodies off/on to the Scope.

I was going to make the same comment as s3igell. Either that or the two cameras were using different exposure values (shutter and ISO).
