All supported cameras are listed in the camera support grid, link in the page footer of this page.

The 200D Mk2 is not on the list yet.

Try it with 3.2.0 prelease from the prerelease download section.  It should give a message like this.

YOUR *REAL* MODEL NUMBER IS 2147484452(80000324)

Send me those numbers and I should be able to make it work.

Regards.

Hi everyone

Thanks for the feedback.

So I bought and paid for the software and attempted to connect my camera, however it does not recognise the device.

Just confirming its a Canon 200Dmk2, as it’s called here in Australia.

What should I do from here?

cheers

James

Sorry for my confusion about the model number. I now understand that the 200D Mk2, the 250D, and the SL3 are the same camera just marketed in different parts of the world.

Follow Guylain's advice and collect the requested numbers, but be aware that it can take a while before BYE fully supports the new camera. For most cameras all that is necessary is to register the camera with BYE so that it is recognized. In other cases, there have been code changes to BYE to make the camera fully functional. In the case of your camera it appears that  Guylain already knows that the current code base needs to change and that he needs to have a camera on hand to test with BYE. It can take time for a local Canadian supplier to have a model available for him to rent so that he can make BYE work.

Search "This Forum" for reports of problems with the SL3 camera.

For a start you can tell me if you got those numbers I asked.

Second, if you did not get those numbers, did you get a specific error message?

Which BYE version did you download.

Ok now for some reason it has just started working!
I must have tried half a dozen times yesterday and it it just wouldn’t connect. I then connected up my mates 60D and it worked straight away...

Buy yea it seems to have worked first thing this morning!

Apologies, I should have been more specific in my above comment.

My Camera has just started working this morning! Which is a massive relief.

I must have tried 6-8 times yesterday and it just wouldn’t connect, but for some reason it started straight away this morning when I attempted.

really excited to use this program!

Just incase I have issues, where can I find the numbers Guylain is referring to?

cheers

If it connected I don't need those numbers... they only show when the camera is not supported in BYE, since yours connected there is nothing more I need.
