1200D Mirror Lock

Hello,

 

I have a 1200D and I am trying to use mirror lock up. The camera itself does not have that functionality but I am seeing conflicting information as to whether BYE can force it. I have been setting mirror lock in the app but it does not seem to work. 

Can BYE lock the mirror up for fore exposure with this camera?

BYE can not invoke a camera function that the camera does not have.  This is not possible with the 1200D.

For most AP Imaging of the sort that BYE is best for, there is no need for the Mirror Lockup Function. 

1. The Mounting of your Camera on an Astronomic Scope/Mount is steadier than most any Photographic Tripod/Ball-Head
2. The Vibrations caused by Performing the Mirror Up at Start of Shutter Activation are quelled within 1-2 seconds
3. The Photons collected during that first 1-2 seconds of even a Short 30-sec Exposure are totally overwhelmed by the remainder of the Exposure
